NFL Wild Card Round Daily Fantasy Football Recommended Lineup Advice (DraftKings, FanDuel)

The regular season is over, but plenty of people will be playing in daily fantasy and playoff-long fantasy games during the postseason. These recommendations are for a DraftKings lineup for the full slate of games over the weekend, but these players are also strong plays in the Saturday and Sunday FanDuel contests.

QB: Andrew Luck @ HOU

DraftKings: $6,400

In Andrew Luck’s two games against the Texans this season, he threw for yardage totals of 464 yards and 399 yards, with four touchdowns in the first game and two touchdowns in the second game. Deshaun Watson had almost as much success from a fantasy perspective on the other side, but he didn’t put up quite as many points—yet he’s still priced higher than Luck for the Wild Card Round.

RB: Chris Carson @ DAL

DraftKings: $6,800

Chris Carson was handed the rock 32 times for 102 yards and a score in Seattle’s Week 3 victory over Dallas earlier this season, and pounding the ball is likely to remain the gameplan in January. The Cowboys have one of the league’s better defenses, but they’ve been best attacked by teams committing to the run game (like the Colts in Week 15). The NFC Offensive Player of the Month in December is a strong fantasy play this weekend.

RB: Marlon Mack @ HOU

DraftKings: $6,000

Center Ryan Kelly being in the lineup is great news for Marlon Mack, who the Colts have handed 25+ carries in two of the last three weeks to end the regular season. Mack has at least one touchdown in four straight games, and Frank Reich knows the running game is important to survive and advance in the postseason. Don’t shy away from Mack despite a difficult matchup at Houston.

WR: T.Y. Hilton @ HOU

DraftKings: $7,800

Not much explanation is needed for T.Y. Hilton being a highly-recommended play for the Wild Card Round. He’s torched the Texans throughout his career, including games of 115 yards and 199 yards this season. Hilton will be in a lot of lineups, but that’s because it’s worth it. His success makes stacking him with Luck one of the best moves in Wild Card daily fantasy lineups.

WR: Alshon Jeffery @ CHI

DraftKings: $5,900

As was obvious during the week, Alshon Jeffery is going to be ready to go against his former team in Sunday’s playoff matchup in Chicago.  Nick Foles has been giving his receivers opportunities to make plays, and Jeffery uses his huge catch radius to come up with jump balls against smaller defenders.

WR: Nelson Agholor @ CHI

DraftKings: $3,800

Nelson Agholor ended the regular season hot with three touchdowns in his final two games, and he should keep the solid play going with the Eagles knowing he has to see several targets per game to give them the best chance to advance. The Bears have a stronger defense in 2018, but Agholor scored against them last season.

TE: Zach Ertz @ CHI

DraftKings: $6,400

There’s certainly risk inserting three Eagles pass-catchers into the lineup, but Zach Ertz had set the single-season mark for receptions in a season by a tight end. You should be able to bank on at least a few catches, with the upside for a dozen grabs and a score or two despite a matchup at Soldier Field.

FLEX: Gus Edwards vs. LAC

DraftKings: $4,200

This recommended lineup isn’t all players on the road, as Gus Edwards is a high-floor option at home for the Chargers. LA knows Baltimore is going to want to run the ball, but they still might not be able to stop the quick-hitting rushes of Edwards and company. The rookie is a great value play.

D/ST: Eagles @ CHI

DraftKings: $2,200

This is my favorite play of Wild Card Weekend, as the Eagles have a defense that’s coming off a shutout victory to end the season and is extremely confident heading into the postseason. Philadelphia picked off Mitchell Trubisky twice last season, and the young quarterback could be a little nervous for his first postseason game. If the run defense holds up and keeps the Bears in third-and-long situations, there’s upside here.
