Strengths

Well-rounded interior defender with a rare blend of speed, strength, and athleticism for his size. Extremely violent hands. Uses rip move to shed blockers. Creates penetration by being the low man. Strong overall technique. Elite agility. Beats double teams with quickness and upper-body leverage. Great burst at the snap. Tough to get a clean block on before shooting the gap. Can power through offensive linemen with a bull rush. Accelerates to close the deal. Effective on stunts. Has flashed a spin move. Good instincts. Played up and down the line for Alabama. Added weight didn’t impact athleticism at the Combine.

Weaknesses

Sometimes takes himself out of the play if he feels he won’t get home. Questionable fit as a two-gapper that will need to anchor against double teams. Didn’t have a significant role until his final season. Failed to dominate in the 2019 College Football Playoff.

NFL comparison

Gerald McCoy – Both McCoy and Quinnen Williams are do-it-all, prototypical defensive tackles that win with strength and athleticism in a variety of ways, but they are at their best getting upfield to wreak havoc on opponents.

Conclusion

Overall, Quinnen Williams is a disruptive force on the defensive line with special athletic gifts and the potential to be a star in any system. I wouldn’t consider him a can’t-miss prospect, but the upside is tremendous.

Best player in the draft. 8 is way too low.

This guy is a riot. Hilarious when he talked about Kyler Murray before the bowl game.

I don’t know much about the college prospects. This helps.
