Brandon Tate | Free Agent WR

The Saints are releasing Brandon Tate, according to multiple reports.

Tate was thought to potentially be in-line for a role on special teams, but he isn't making New Orleans' initial 53-man roster. Perhaps the Saints will bring him back some point soon, though.

Brandon Tate catches one pass in Bills' win.

Tate gained 21 yards on his lone reception (and lone target) of the game, so it was good to see him step up for his team. He's not a fantasy option, though Tate is a good contributor to the Bills in real life.

Brandon Tate catches one pass in Week 11.

Tate's reception went for seven yards, but he was targeted five times in the game. He'll do whatever the team needs from him, but Tate's role isn't big enough to be a recommended fantasy option.

Brandon Tate | Free Agent WR

Brandon Tate makes big play in Bills' win.

Tate caught a pass over the middle and put a great move on a defender before taking it for a 24 yard gain and a first down. Right after the play in which he was tackled by the sideline, the whole team pretty much went jumped up and went over to congratulate him on a great play—which was awesome and unique to see. Tate isn't a fantasy option right now, but it's good to see him step up and make plays for his team like that—and it's good to see his teammates appreciate it.

Brandon Tate | Free Agent WR

Brandon Tate scores against his former team.

The 30-year-old receiver caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Bengals. The touchdown was a very good catch in the back of the end zone in between defenders. While Tate might have a bigger role with Jordan Matthews out, he's probably not a reliable option in fantasy lineups and can remain on the waiver wire.

Brandon Tate caught two passes for 48 yards in Sunday’s win.

He actually led the team in receiving on a day where Tyrod Taylor threw for just 166 yards. Tate could see an expanded role next week if Robert Woods (knee) cannot go, so is definitely worth a look for those desperate at wide receiver.
