Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate cleared concussion protocol.

Tate is ready to go for this Monday night against the Eagles after missing just one game with his concussion. It'll be an interesting matchup to see Tate go up against the team he spent half the year with last year after getting acquired by Detroit, and the veteran receiver is in the FLEX mix for Week 14.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (concussion) was officially a full participant in today's practice.

Tate appears set to clear concussion protocol and play on Monday night against the Eagles. We'll let you know how (or if) he's listed on Saturday when the final Week 14 injury report is released, but you can prepare to have the veteran receiver available for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 13.

Tate didn’t practice all week, and it’s not surprising that he isn’t playing this week after reporting concussion symptoms following last Sunday’s game. Hopefully the veteran receiver is feeling better soon.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (concussion) officially did not practice today.

This isn't surprising after Tate reported concussion symptoms a couple of days ago. The veteran receiver is probably on the doubtful side of things for Week 13, but we'll let you know how he's listed on the final injury report later this week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate is in concussion protocol.

The Giants say Tate suffered the concussion when he landed on his touchdown reception late in yesterday's loss against the Bears. The veteran receiver now has to clear concussion protocol before he can play, so he'll have six days to get cleared for Sunday's game against the Packers. We'll track Tate's status throughout the week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate has lost an appeal of his four-game suspension for violating the NFL policy on performing-enhancing substances.

Tate wasn't expected to win his appeal, but this news officially keeps him out for the first four games of the regular season. No. 1 receiver Sterling Shepard (thumb) should be cleared for the opener, but Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley should have a bigger role in the passing game to start the year. Tate probably doesn't need to be drafted in redraft formats because of how many options there are at the position.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate is facing a four-game suspension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Tate violated the NFL's PED policy, but Schefter says the veteran "believes he has a legitimate case" to win his appeal and get the suspension overturned. This is pretty stunning for the Giants, as they already lost Corey Coleman for the season with a torn ACL, while Sterling Shepard is dealing with a fractured thumb that could put his Week 1 status in jeopardy. A decision on Tate's appeal will be made in the coming days or weeks, certainly before Week 1. Players like Cody Latimer, Bennie Fowler, and Darius Slayton must step up for the Giants for now, but a trade or veteran signing should be likely.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate is signing with the Giants.

Fresh off the Odell Beckham Jr. trade to Cleveland, the Giants add one of the top overall remaining players available in free agency to help fill the missing void at the same position. The veteran receiver will be a starter alongside Sterling Shepard, and he should be a good bet for 100+ targets for a sixth straight season in this spot. Tate's upside will be limited in a passing attack that isn't expected to be among the best in football, but he should offer a solid floor in the middle-to-late rounds of fantasy drafts this summer. For the Giants, they get an experienced player that's become a good leader in locker rooms as they look to compete in 2019 with a lot of people counting the team out already in March.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches two passes in Eagles' playoff loss.

Tate gained 18 yards on his two receptions in the Divisional Round loss to the Saints. He was notably targeted on a deep ball where he probably should've come back to it to either a) undercut the defender and catch it, or b) draw a pass interference penalty. Tate didn't put up huge numbers after his arrival to Philadelphia via a trade-deadline deal, but he came up huge last weekend with the game-winning score versus Chicago in the Wild Card Round. Considering the Eagles gave up a third-round pick for Tate, they'll probably look to sign him to an extension before he hits free agency this offseason. If not, he'll draw plenty of interest on the open market.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches game-winning touchdown in Eagles' playoff win.

Tate caught a quick out route with 56 seconds remaining to put the Eagles up by one point over the Bears in their Wild Card Round victory. Earlier in the game, Tate also had a big 28-yard reception on a shot down the deep middle part of the field where he took a big hit and held on. The veteran receiver will look to make clutch plays again in the Divisional Round next Sunday against the Saints.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches four passes in Week 17.

Tate gained 33 yards on his four receptions versus the Redskins, bringing his 2018 regular season total to 74 receptions for 795 yards and four touchdowns between the Eagles and Lions. Now Tate, who has one Super Bowl from his time in Seattle, will look to take advantage of this opportunity in the postseason with Philadelphia.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches two passes in Week 16.

Tate gained 13 yards on his two receptions versus the Texans. The veteran receiver has put up inconsistent numbers with the Eagles, but he had 85 yards and a touchdown in his first matchup against his next opponent, the Redskins.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches all five targets in Week 15.

Tate gained 43 yards on his five receptions against the Rams, mostly working as an underneath target for Nick Foles. The veteran receiver has crossed 50 yards receiving just once as an Eagle, so he's difficult to trust in lineups for fantasy title games. However, the Texans aren't a bad matchup next Sunday.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate held to one catch in Week 14 loss.

It was a huge step back after Tate broke out with a 7/85/1 line two weeks ago, and the Eagles might simply have too many guys without enough offensive success to consider the 30-year-old as anything more than a decent FLEX play. Philly will take on the Rams in Week 15.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate scores first touchdown as an Eagle on Monday night.

Tate caught all seven targets in the Eagles' Week 13 win, gaining 85 yards with a touchdown along with a two-point conversion reception against the Redskins. The touchdown was on a play where Carson Wentz scrambled up and to the right, finding Tate at the right side of the end zone. Tate showed his superb ability to get past defenders and break tackles, and he'll look to do more damage next week against the Cowboys. In an interesting situation because of his trade from Detroit, Tate will be facing Dallas for the third time this season. He had a career-game against them while he was with the Lions earlier this season, but he didn't play much against the Cowboys in the first matchup with the Eagles while still getting acclimated to his new offense.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches four passes against the Giants.

Tate gained 30 yards on his four receptions in the Eagles' Week 12 win. He was targeted on a pass to the end zone on a comeback type of route to the front pylon, but the pass was just broken up. Tate is off to a slow start with the Eagles, as teams have rallied and made good plays to limit his yards-after-catch. However, eight targets (tied with Zach Ertz for the team lead) is a positive sign. Tate will look to make a big impact next Monday night against the Redskins.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches five passes in Week 11.

Tate saw much more extensive action with another week to get into the playbook, and he led the Eagles in receptions, receiving yardage, and targets in what was a poor day for the entire team. Tate caught five passes (on eight targets) for 48 yards and had one carry for -8 yards against the Saints. The veteran receiver should offer a solid floor next week against the Giants, and he'll look to bust out for a big play or two for a team with its back against the wall.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate sees limited action in Eagles debut.

Tate caught two-of-four targets for 19 yards against the Cowboys, which was definitely a surprise considering Philadelphia traded a third-round pick for him and had the bye week to incorporate the Notre Dame product into the offense. Look for Tate to have a bigger role next week in another huge game—this time against the Saints in New Orleans—but he's a somewhat risky FLEX option as a secondary option behind Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

The Eagles are acquiring Golden Tate.

Tate announced the move himself on Twitter, and the Eagles quickly confirmed the news themselves. It's a third-round pick going to Detroit in exchange for Tate, according to multiple reports. Tate joins Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor in a stacked wide receiver group—along with tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert—for quarterback Carson Wentz. Tate's fantasy value probably takes a slight dip with the move, as Wentz loves throwing to Jeffery and Ertz, and Tate will be no better than No. 3 or No. 4 in the pecking order for targets with the Eagles while getting acclimated to a new offense. This move should allow Agholor to run more routes deep down the field, which we've been wanting to see for a while now anyway. For Detroit, Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay should both see an uptick in targets, so they're both stronger fantasy options than they were before this trade. Tate is in a contract year, but we'd think the Eagles will look to re-sign him in the offseason.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate gets eight touches against the Seahawks.

Tate had seven receptions (on a team-high 12 targets) for 50 yards and added one carry for three yards against his former team. The veteran receiver has had 50 yards or less in each of the last three games after a huge 132-yard, two-touchdown game in Week 5. He'll next face a Vikings team that shut him down in two games last season (combined seven receptions for 36 yards), but Minnesota is banged up at corner.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate gets five touches against the Dolphins.

Tate caught four passes (on a team-high six targets) for 36 yards and added one carry for 30 yards in the Week 7 victory. Next week, Tate faces his former Seahawks team, so he might have something extra for them.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches five passes in Week 5.

Tate was targeted seven times against the Packers, gaining 42 yards on his five receptions. Green Bay did a relatively good job of limiting Tate after the catch in the game, and he'll look to break free against Miami's secondary when he returns to the field after the team's bye week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate scores twice in Lions' loss.

This was one of the best games of Tate's career, as he caught 8-of-8 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 4 loss to the Cowboys. The first score was a 45-yarder on a comeback route in which Tate got past a couple of defenders on his way to the end zone, and the second score was on a 38-yard strike down the right sideline. Through four games, Tate is on pace for a 112/1,556/12 line. His numbers are probably going to take a dip as the season progresses, but you might as well keep riding him in fantasy lineups while he's hot.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (hip) is officially active against the Cowboys.

Tate was added to the injury report before the weekend, which caused some concern, but there wasn’t much doubt he’d be out there against Dallas. Tate is a tough player, and we expect he’ll play close to his usual number of snaps and can be inserted into Week 4 fantasy lineups.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught six passes for 69 yards in Sunday's win over New England.

Tate was able to do damage on short and intermediate routes against New England's No. 3 and No. 4 cornerbacks with Stephon Gilmore on Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay, and Eric Rowe (groin) inactive, but Detroit mostly relied on the running game in a surprising victory. The Cowboys will likely have a difficult time containing Tate next week, so he's a solid FLEX in standard leagues with a boost in PPR formats.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate goes over 100 yards as Lions fall to the Niners.

Tate caught seven passes for 109 yards, with the highlight coming on a  67-yard catch and run that he nearly housed. Despite Detroit's offense struggling for basically seven quarters before coming alive in the fourth on Sunday, Tate has gone for 7/79/1 and 7/109 to start the year, and he looks like a solid, every-week WR2/FLEX option in standard leagues with a boost in PPR formats. He could give the Patriots problems on Sunday night.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate scores in Week 1.

Tate was featured on a second-half touchdown drive which ended in a score, and overall he had seven receptions (on a team-high 15 targets) for 79 yards and one touchdown. Tate also had at least one drop in the game on what was a bad night for the Lions as a team. Tate will remain a high-floor option in Week 2 against San Francisco.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches 71-yard touchdown in Week 17.

Tate had a very good end to the season against the Packers, catching seven passes for 104 yards and the touchdown. Tate had a 92/1,003/5 line this season, as he reached 90 receptions for the fourth straight year (every season since joining the Lions) and 1,000 yards in two straight seasons (and three of the last four). Any potential new coaching staff will likely utilize Tate similar to the way he's been used in the past four seasons.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate gets shutdown in Week 16 loss.

Tate caught three passes for just 14 yards, and Detroit was eliminated from playoff contention after the road upset. The slot receiver has some work to do if he wants to reach 1,000 yards this year, but the good news is that he faces a Green Bay team that he has a season-high 113 yards against. Still, Tate will probably be just a FLEX in standard leagues with a boost to the WR2 ranks for PPR leagues in Week 17.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate contained in win over the Bears.

Tate caught three passes for 33 yards, as Detroit used a conservative passing attack in a fairly easy 20-10 victory. Chicago had Tate's number this season with two quiet games, but he should be back in low-end WR2/FLEX territory next week against the Bengals. As usual, he should get a bump in PPR leagues.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate finds the end zone in Week 14 win.

Tate caught eight passes for 85 yards, including a five-yard touchdown reception. Detroit's slot receiver has caught eight passes in back-t0-back games, but he gets a difficult draw next Saturday against Chicago, as the Bears held him to three receptions for 32 yards last month. Consider Tate a FLEX option in standard leagues and a low-end WR2 in PPR leagues.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches eight passes in loss to the Ravens.

They went for 69 yards, as Baltimore didn't really let the slot receiver break loose other than a 24-yard gain. Tate will get a boost for the first week of the fantasy playoffs when the Lions take on the 4-8 Bucs in Tampa Bay. Consider him a WR1/WR2 in PPR leagues and a solid WR2 in standard leagues for Week 14.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate doesn't do much against the Vikings.

Mike Zimmer's defense again did a great job of limiting the Lions slot receiver, as he caught four of eight targets for seven yards in the Thanksgiving loss. He also had two carries and gained 13 yards rushing. The Ravens are a difficult matchup in Week 13, but he should make a bigger impact against them.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate held in check as Lions defeat Bears with late field goal.

Tate caught three passes for 32 yards. The receptions tied for a season-low, and it's the slot receiver's lowest yardage total since Week 4 against Minnesota. Detroit will matchup with the Vikings on Thanksgiving, and despite Tate's strong play against them last year, he needs to be downgraded in Week 12. We'd recommend looking elsewhere if possible.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate scores 40-yard touchdown in win over the Browns.

Tate caught six passes for 97 yards and the score, which came on a screen pass in the fourth quarter to put the Lions up 38-24. The versatile receiver has looked fine playing through a shoulder injury, as the three-game stretch since the bye has easily been his best of the season. Consider him a low-end WR2/FLEX in standard leagues with a big boost in PPR formats against the Bears next week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate goes over 100 yards in Week 9.

Tate caught seven of nine targets for 113 yards in a win over the Packers, as he worked as a reliable target for Matthew Stafford and showed his usual great ability after the catch. Tate nearly scored a touchdown late in the game, but he was talked inside the five-yard line. He's currently on pace for 100 receptions, 1,124 yards, and four touchdowns. Tate will remain a fine option against the Browns in Week 10.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate plays well through shoulder issue.

Tate toughed it out and didn't miss any games after injuring his shoulder in Week 6, catching seven of eight targets for 86 yards against the Steelers—but he did lose a fumble in the game. Although once after taking a hit he was helped up using only the arm with the good shoulder, Tate didn't seem affected by the issue at all and showed his usual great ability with the ball. Tate will be a good option against the Packers on Monday night next week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) is active for Sunday Night Football.

Despite the report at the time of the shoulder injury a couple weeks ago that stated Tate was set to miss a few weeks, he will be out there tonight against the Steelers and not miss any games. While he might not be quite 100%, he should have his usual role and slate of targets against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is a difficult matchup, but Tate is still a fine option in fantasy lineups—especially in PPR leagues.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) is officially questionable for Week 8.

Tate was limited in practice all week, but all signs point to him playing on Sunday, including his posting of a gif of the Simpsons character Mr. Burns saying "excellent." Maybe the tweet had to do with something else, but the though is he's feeling good and ready to go for Sunday night against Pittsburgh. Make sure you have insurance options in case Tate doesn't play, but expect him to be out there for the Lions.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate appears likely to play on Sunday against Pittsburgh.

Tate was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he said he has no limitations with the shoulder, according to MLive. Also as pointed out by MLive, yesterday after practice Tate tweeted a gif of Simpsons character Mr. Burns maniacally saying "excellent." It certainly sounds like he thinks he'll be ready to go for Sunday night, but check back in later today when the official injury report for the game is released to see how Tate is listed.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) was limited in practice today.

It's the second-straight limited practice for Tate, and we might get a better idea of his status tomorrow when the official injury report for the game will be released. If you're making lineup decisions including Tate, keep in mind that the game is on Sunday night.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) was limited in practice today.

He wasn't expected to be ready for this week against Pittsburgh, but a limited practice is a good start to the week. Tate is one of the players to most closely monitor throughout the week, as he'd be a good option in fantasy lineups even in a tough matchup with the Steelers.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) is expected to miss time, according to Ian Rapoport.

According to Rapoport, Tate is likely to miss “a few weeks” with an AC joint sprain. The Lions luckily have a bye this week, so maybe Tate can rest for a week and somehow be ready to go for Week 8. The good news is rookie receiver Kenny Golladay is expected back in Week 8 after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. We might not know more about Tate until next week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate (shoulder) is questionable to return against the Saints.

The Lions are getting blown out, so Tate might be done for the day if he isn't close to 100%. So far, he was up to seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a 45-yarder where he broke a few tackles from Saints defenders that did a poor job of wrapping up.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught five passes for 48 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.

Tate had a tough draw with Captain Munnerlyn, and the Detroit offense as a whole struggled until two touchdowns in the final quarter. The slot receiver should be better next week against the Saints in a probable shootout. Treat him as a solid FLEX in standard leagues and a WR2 in PPR leagues.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate gets four touches in Week 4.

Tate had three receptions for 29 yards yards and a two-yard carry in a win over the Vikings. Through four games, Tate in on pace for 96 receptions for 876 yards and four touchdowns, showing he's a very good option for PPR leagues. He's a FLEX option against Carolina next week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate comes up inches short of two-touchdown performance and a win against the Falcons.

Tate caught seven passes for 58 yards and a touchdown, but nearly had another, as the final play of the game was overturned when he was ruled just short of the goal line, giving Atlanta a 30-26 victory. Tate has been used as Matthew Stafford's target underneath all season (he doesn't have a 20-yard reception through three games), and he will continue to do so next week against the Vikings. It's a tough matchup, but Tate has had success against them in the past. Still, he's just a FLEX option.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches all four targets in Week 2.

The Lions mostly got Tate involved on quick bubble screens, and he only had 25 yards on his four receptions. He'll look to do more damage on Sunday against the Falcons.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught 10 passes for 107 yards in the Lions' season opener.

He also rushed twice for seven yards in the 35-23 win over Arizona. The Lions offense got hot in the second half, and Tate's work in the slot was a big reason why. He gets the Giants next week, but Tate is a good fantasy option as the focal point of the passing game.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches all five targets in preseason game.

The veteran receiver had five receptions for 62 yards, including a long of 22 yards, but he did also lose a fumble when Patriots corner Malcolm Butler punched the ball out. Tate should be done for the preseason, and he enters the regular season as one of the better PPR options at receiver.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches two-of-three targets in preseason game against the Jets.

Tate had two receptions for 34 yards, catching a 16-yarder and an 18-yarder. On one catch, Tate took a big hit and held on; and one the other catch, Tate used nice footwork to keep his feet in bounds on a sideline throw. As Matthew Stafford's most trusted target, Tate will again be a solid PPR asset in 2017.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate says he wasn't talking about getting an extension right now.

When Julian Edelman got a contract extension a couple days ago, Tate tweeted that he hopes he's "one of the next ones to get extended." At a charity softball game, Tate clarified his tweet, according to the Detroit Free Press, saying he was "hinting at it in a few years, of course," because he still has two years left on his deal. Tate did also say he felt he was underpaid, and that he would love to stay in Detroit if they want him. For this season, Tate is a good bet for 80-90+ catches.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Lions receiver Golden Tate tweets that he wants a new contract.

Tate "quote tweeted" a tweet from Pro Football Focus that shows Julian Edelman—who just received a contract extension—forced the fifth-most missed tackles as a receiver since 2014, with Tate being number one during that time. The tweet said "I hope I'm one of the next ones to get extended..... big plays can come in all shapes and forms huh?" Tate has two years left on his contract and he already has cap hits of $8 million and $9 million over those two years, however. Tate has had 90+ catches over the last three seasons (his three seasons with Detroit), but the team is able to get out of Tate's contract after the season while taking a cap hit of about only $2 million; so Tate might be looking at a new contract after the season, but maybe not the way he'd want to. If he plays well, his contract will be taken care of, but Detroit doesn't have much incentive to extend him right now.

Golden Tate doesn't do much against former team in the playoffs.

Tate had three catches for 25 yards against Seattle. After his slow start, Tate really turned it up down the stretch posting over 90 catches and 1,000 yards this season. He should be a decent pick as a top 30 wide receiver in next season's fantasy drafts, and should be a boost as a WR2 in PPR leagues.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's loss to Green Bay.

Tate led the team in all receiving categories, and should be the focal point of the offense against his former team in the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round. After a slow start to the season, Tate ended up with 91 catches for 1,077 yards and four touchdowns, which is pretty impressive considering he didn't surpass 41 receiving yards until the middle of October.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught six passes for 58 yards in Monday night's loss to the Cowboys.

Tate caught all six of his targets, but he and the rest of the team couldn't find the end zone after halftime. They lost 42-21 and will now likely be playing the Packers next week for the division crown and a playoff spot. Tate will be a solid WR2 for Week 17.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate caught six passes for 58 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears.

Tate is the clear focal-point of the offense after a slow start to the season, as he led the team with 11 targets (five more than anyone else). Tate should see a lot of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie next week against the Giants, but remains a low-end WR2/FLEX.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Tate explodes in Week 13 win over Saints.

He caught eight passes for 145 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown. Tate started off the season slow, but has really come on and become to focal-point of the offense; he saw a team-high 10 targets on Sunday. Tate will be a low-end WR2 next week at home versus Chicago.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate catches five passes for 77 yards against the Vikings.

He had a long of 41 yards when he got wide open after it appeared Andrew Sendejo was peaking in the backfield at Matthew Stafford scrambling. Tate has picked it up after a very slow start to the year, and is a solid WR2/FLEX option against the Saints next week.

Golden Tate | Giants WR

Golden Tate slows down in Week 11.

Tate had three catches for 27 yards. He came down to earth a bit after a big four game stretch. Tate is a decent FLEX option against the Vikings in Week 12, after scoring the game-winning TD against them a couple of weeks ago.
