Tom Brady throws one touchdown as Patriots advance to eight straight AFC title game.
Brady was 34/44 for 343 yards and a touchdown in the Divisional Round win versus the Chargers. From the start, Brady came out on fire, putting passes on point and leading New England to 35 first-half points. With all the misguided talk about Brady slipping, he looked as good as usual in today’s win. The score was to Phillip Dorsett on a corner route he put right on the money. We expect TB12 will be sharp in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs one week from today as he looks to advance to his ninth Super Bowl.
Tom Brady tosses four touchdowns as New England locks up a first-round bye.
Brady was 24/33 for 250 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions in a 38-3 victory over the Jets. The first couple scores went to the running backs—James White (17 yards) and Rex Burkhead (18 yards)—and then he found Phillip Dorsett (nine yards) and Julian Edelman (five yards) in a performance that should build momentum into January. Brady didn't play his best football during the regular season, but he still finishes with 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while having Julian Edelman suspended to start the year, Josh Gordon eventually suspended indefinitely, and Rob Gronkowski banged up. New England arguably remains Super Bowl favorites as TB12 looks for his sixth ring.
Tom Brady throws two interceptions but Patriots clinch the AFC East.
Brady was 13/24 for 126 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions against the Bills. The score was a 32-yarder to Julian Edelman, who spun out of the grasp of a defender and ran to the end zone without being downed. One interception went right off the hands of Rob Gronkowski, and Brady didn't play as poorly as the numbers might indicate, though it wasn't a spectacular game from the G.O.A.T. Brady finishes the regular season next week against the Jets as the Pats look to lock up a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs. Brady threw for two touchdowns in the first matchup with the Jets this season.
Tom Brady and the Patriots fall to the Steelers at Heinz Field.
Brady was 25/36 for 279 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Week 15 loss marking the first time since 2002 the franchise has lost back-to-back games in December. It looked like Brady and the offense were set to have another big day against the Steelers after a walk-in 63-yard touchdown to a wide-open Chris Hogan on a deep crossing route, but New England scored just three points the rest of the way. The interception was a rare fourth-quarter mistake in the red zone on a play where he might've just been trying to get the ball out of bounds. The Patriots were in position for a potential game-tying score at the end, but Brady couldn't get the ball to his receivers in the end zone on a few shots. After two straight road games, Brady will return home to Foxboro in a game the offense could be due for an explosion; however, the Bills are a tough matchup, so there is some risk for Brady entering fantasy title games.
Tom Brady throws three touchdowns in Patriots' loss.
New England lost another game in Miami, a rare place they've had struggles, but it wasn't the fault of Brady, who had one of his best games of the year in the Week 14 loss. Brady was 27/43 for 358 yards and three touchdowns along with one carry for three yards against the Dolphins. His first touchdown was to Julian Edelman on a short zig route; his second was to Cordarrelle Patterson on an absolute laser deep down the seam for 37 yards; and his third was to Rob Gronkowski on a 16-yard corner route. The first touchdown was a record-breaker for the G.O.A.T., as he became the NFL's all-time leader in passing touchdowns including postseason (580) in a feat that should probably be getting talked about and recognized more than it is. Fantasy wise, this was the second best showing of the season for Brady, and he appears to be clicking at the right time for fantasy owners. He's obviously in the QB1 mix for a potential shootout with the Steelers in Week 15.
Tom Brady plays well as the Patriots coast against the Vikings in Week 13.
Brady had a tough matchup against Minnesota's defense, but he got the ball out quickly to his weapons and didn't take any sacks in the game. Brady was 24/32 for 311 yards, one touchdown, and one interception along with two carries for five yards. The score was to Josh Gordon on a 24-yard dig route to put New England up by seven in the third quarter. The interception was uncharacteristic and came late in the game to give the Vikings a slight chance at a comeback down two touchdowns, but it was otherwise an excellent game for TB12. Brady also eclipsed the 1,000-yard-rushing mark for his career, doing it in his 265th game. And he comically ensured he did not lose yardage on the final kneel down to end the game, kneeling right at the line of scrimmage and telling the official he didn't lose yardage on it. Fantasy wise, Brady has been just OK this season, but he obviously has the ability to help deliver some titles to owners in the fantasy playoffs.
Tom Brady throws two touchdowns in Patriots' win.
Brady was 20/31 for 283 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 12 win against the Jets. Brady was listed as questionable with a knee injury coming off the bye, but he didn't appear to be limited at all in the victory. The first score was to Rob Gronkowski on a deep ball for 56 yards, and the second was to Julian Edelman for 21 yards on a catch-and-run. TB12 wasn't perfect in the game, but it was a strong and efficient performance to help get the Patriots to 8-3 and back into a top-two seed in the AFC playoff race. Brady has a tough matchup next week against Mike Zimmer's Vikings defense, but he's a good bet to show up big in what's likely to be billed as a huge interconference matchup.
Tom Brady (knee) is officially active for Week 12.
Despite being listed as questionable, there was zero concern about Brady’s status for today’s game against the Jets. You can insert TB12 into fantasy lineups as a solid QB1.
Tom Brady (knee/illness) is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Brady didn't practice on Friday, which drew some concern, but it would be a surprise if he wasn't out there on Sunday as New England looks to get back on track against the Jets. If he plays, Brady should be in lineups as a solid QB1, but if he's inactive, the other fantasy options for the Patriots obviously need to be downgraded, and Brian Hoyer wouldn't be anything more than a low-end QB2 option.
Tom Brady, Patriots get shutdown in road loss to the Titans.
Brady was 21/41 for 254 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding a six-yard reception. The Patriots were able to keep it close going into halftime down 20-10, but Tennessee controlled the game throughout and held New England to zero points in the second half to win 34-10. There were some plays left on the field, but Julian Edelman (9/104 on 12 targets) was basically the only player to have success, and he ended up leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent ankle injury. Brady enters the bye with just one touchdown over the past three weeks, but he's the top buy-low target at the position. The Pats face the Jets in New York next time out.
Tom Brady throws one touchdown in Patriots' win against the Packers.
It didn't quite live up to the hype as a shootout with Brady and Aaron Rodgers slinging the ball around in an epic game, but it was a strong performance by Brady, which included 14 fourth quarter points in New England's 31-17 victory. Brady was 22/35 for 294 yards and a touchdown, but he ended up losing -1 yards rushing (because of kneel downs), meaning a slight setback for his journey to 1,000 career rushing yards. The Patriots came out with a warp-speed offense for an opening drive touchdown, and tempo worked in their favor when they went to it throughout the night. Brady's score was to Josh Gordon in the fourth quarter on a 55-yarder down the left side of the field where Gordon broke one tackle then was off for six. This is TB12's fourth game of the season with one or fewer passing touchdowns, but he'll take the wins at the expense of trying to put up individual statistics. Next week, Brady remains a strong QB1 option against the Titans.
Tom Brady, Patriots pull away in the fourth quarter of 25-6 win over the Bills.
Brady was 29/45 for 324 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding an eight-yard carry. It was an offensive struggle as Buffalo played stout defense (particularly in their own territory to limit New England to field goals), but a pick six in the fourth quarter essentially sealed the game for the Pats. Brady should put up much bigger numbers back at home for a Sunday Night Football clash with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, so he's a high-end QB1 for Week 9.
Tom Brady throws three touchdowns in Patriots' win.
New England got into a high-scoring affair in Chicago, holding on for a 38-31 victory to improve to 5-2. Brady was 25/36 for 277 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception along with one carry for six yards. One touchdown was to Julian Edelman on a quick screen that was powered in by the veteran receiver for nine yards, and the other two scores were to James White. Star rookie running back Sony Michel went down with a potentially serious leg injury in the win, so more might be on TB12's shoulders the rest of the season. The Patriots face the Bills on Monday night in Week 8.
Tom Brady, Patriots defeat the Chiefs, 43-40, on a last-second field goal in SNF thriller.
Brady was 24/35 for 340 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, also rushing three times for two yards and a touchdown. The score through the air came on a 17-yard throw to Julian Edelman in the second quarter, and in the second half, Brady was fortunate to escape a sack from rookie Breeland Speaks (because he didn’t want to rough the passer thinking the ball was thrown) and scramble in from four yards out. Overall, New England had an exact balance of run and pass (35 runs and 35 passes) excluding Brady’s scrambles/kneels, but the weapons should keep TB12 as a high-end QB1 if that remains the case. The Pats hit the road for matchups against the Bears and Bills over the next two weeks before taking on the Packers back at home.
Tom Brady throws 500th career touchdown pass as Patriots defeat the Colts, 38-24.
Brady was 34/44 for 341 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in the win, also adding three carries for negative-one yard and a rushing touchdown. New England got off to a quick start with passing scores to Cordarrelle Patterson and James White combined with a Brady quarterback sneak in the first half, and then TB12 threw his 500th career touchdown on a throw into double coverage that Josh Gordon came away with from 34 yards out. The two turnovers were on drops by Chris Hogan and Rob Gronkowski, so overall, Brady was excellent in the first game with the receiving corps at full strength in Julian Edelman's return. Still at home for a matchup with the Chiefs next Sunday night, Brady looks like the top option at the position once again.
Tom Brady, Patriots get rolling after slow start in 38-7 victory.
Brady went 23/35 for 274 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in a win over the previously 3-0 Dolphins. It wasn't the prettiest day by any means for Brady, but a 55-yard touchdown pass on a catch-and-run by Cordarrelle Patterson got things going, and he also hit Phillip Dorsett (nine yards) and James White (14 yards) for scores in the red zone. At the quarter mark of the season, TB12 in on pace for 3,672 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions, but he gets reinforcements coming with Josh Gordon still learning the offense and Julian Edelman returning from suspension this Thursday night. Plus, Rob Gronkowski has done basically nothing this year, so now seems like the time to buy low on Brady heading into a short week against the Colts.
Tom Brady, Patriots struggle in 26-10 loss to the Lions.
Brady was 14/26 for just 133 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on Sunday Night Football. It was a very surprising performance considering the Lions were 0-2 and New England was coming off a decisive defeat at the hands of the Jaguars, but Brady and the offense simply never got going. Of course, people are writing the demise of the dynasty like they seemingly do every year, so if a fantasy owner in your league is shopping TB12, now would be a great time to buy low. It would be surprising if they didn’t bounce back at home against the first-place, undefeated Dolphins next Sunday, so Brady should be considered a high-end QB1 for that matchup. And the entire offense would get a boost if Josh Gordon makes his team debut.
Tom Brady throws two touchdowns in Week 2 loss to Jacksonville.
The Jaguars came out hot offensively with 14 first-quarter points, and Brady and the Pats couldn't quite climb all the way back into the game, losing 31-20. Brady was 24/35 for 234 yards and two touchdowns, along with three carries for ten yards and a fumble lost on a strip sack. Both of Brady's touchdowns were to Chris Hogan in the second half, and New England moved the ball well overall in the game, but the Jags kept moving the ball and keeping it out of Brady's hands. Next week, Brady faces the Lions and former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia on Sunday night. He's probably the top quarterback option for Week 3.
Tom Brady tosses three touchdowns as the Patriots move to 1-0.
Brady looked as sharp as usual to open the 2018 season, as he slid around the pocket and made pinpoint throws all afternoon against the Texans. Brady was 26/39 for 277 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one interception, and he also added a two-yard carry to gain a first down on a quarterback sneak. Brady's first touchdown was on a perfect back-shoulder throw to Rob Gronkowski, who was being doubled. The second was on a 12-yard pass to James White. And the third was on an out-breaking route in the end zone to Phillip Dorsett. The interception came on a pass that was deflected at the line of scrimmage and went into Tyrann Mathieu's hands. Brady gets a tough matchup against the Jaguars in Week 2, but the gamelan in last year's AFC Championship Game called for the Pats spreading the field an passing the ball around. Expect something similar in Week 2.
The Patriots have revised Tom Brady's contract, according to multiple reports.
Due to make $15 million in salary this season, the Patriots have added $5 million in 2018 incentives to Brady's deal. These incentives might not come out, but there's probably a good chance he hits them all. Brady is obviously underpaid every year as the best player in the league, but he wants to win more than anything—and frankly he's probably not struggling in the cash department. These incentives shouldn't do anything to make Brady more laser-focused than he already is. There's no reason to believe Brady won't be an elite QB1 this season, despite hitting 41 years old.
Tom Brady is at Patriots minicamp.
As was expected, Brady has reported to the mandatory minicamp after missing OTAs. The fact that he missed OTAs is a bit perplexing considering he's talked in the past about how important every practice is, but he probably just wanted to spend more time with his family while he can. And Bill Belichick says he's "always had a good relationship with Tom," and the reported issues between the two don't seem to be a legitimate issue. As usual, Brady is likely to be 100% locked in on football and ready to go as he prepares for his 19th NFL season. Brady's age is not a concern, and he will be an elite fantasy QB1 again this in 2018.
Tom Brady is not at Patriots OTAs.
This isn't huge fantasy news, but it's worth noting that Brady has yet to show up with the team this offseason, and it's reportedly the first time he hasn't been at the third phase of OTAs. Obviously, Brady has a legendary work ethic and devotes his life to football, so it's a bit of a head-scratcher that he isn't building a rapport with this new 2018 team. But these are still voluntary training sessions, and TB12 probably wants to spend time with his family while he can. Brady is so good and is undoubtedly working out on his own, and it'd be a surprise if he didn't play as well this season based on missing a few spring training sessions, but perhaps this is something to keep in mind if you're stuck between Brady and some of the other top fantasy quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers in fantasy drafts this summer.
Tom Brady puts in legendary performance, but Patriots fall in Super Bowl LII.
Brady did his part as he attempted to lead the team to its sixth Lombardi Trophy, but the Eagles made enough plays in the end to prevent the G.O.A.T.'s masterful performance from resulting in another title. Brady was 28/48 for 505 yards and three touchdowns, as he navigated the pocket and made a ton of plays on passes down the field. In the first half, Brady had an opportunity on a trick play that would have resulted in a first down, but he couldn't quite come up with a pass from Danny Amendola that went off his finger tips. In the second half, Brady led his team to 21 points, and it looked like he would lead his team down the field for a game-winning touchdown with a couple minutes left in the game. However, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham made the defensive play of the game, forcing a turnover by getting to Brady up the middle and forcing a fumble on Philadelphia's only sack of the game. Brady's 505 yards are the most in Super Bowl and NFL postseason history, and it was another case of him showing up on the game's biggest stage. Next season, Brady will be 41, but he's shown throughout the years that he gets better, not worse, not matter his age. He'll be in contention for the top fantasy scorer in 2018, though he might be ranked lower by some that are afraid of him potentially regressing with age—which we do not think will happen.
Tom Brady leads comeback in AFC Championship against the Jaguars; advances to eighth Super Bowl.
The Patriots scored ten points in the first three quarters and lost All-Pro Rob Gronkowski at the end of the first half because of a concussion, but Brady had another amazing fourth quarter in the playoffs, leading his team to 14 points while delivering pinpoint passes like no other. Both touchdowns were to Danny Amendola, with the game-winner coming on a perfect throw to the back of the end zone where Amendola made an outstanding toe-tapping catch with 2:48 to go. This was Brady's eighth fourth-quarter comeback in the postseason, which is mind-boggling (and an NFL record). He is simply ice-cold with the game on the line, performing unlike anyone we've ever seen in the clutch; aside from his two touchdowns to Amendola in the fourth, his perfect throw to Amendola on third-and-18 in the fourth to keep a drive going was one of the throws of the game. Overall, Brady was 26/38 for 290 yards and two touchdowns in the win, and we'll see him in Super Bowl LII in a couple of weeks as he. looks to claim his sixth Lombardi Trophy.
Tom Brady (hand) is officially active for the AFC Championship Game against Jacksonville.
Obviously, this was fully expected. Brady was reportedly throwing the ball well on Friday despite having four stitches near his thumb after the injury suffered in practice on Wednesday. The G.O.A.T. is looking to lead his team to the Super Bowl for the eighth time, and he will hopefully be his usual self despite the injury to his throwing hand. Brady might wear a right glove for the game for the first time in a while.
Tom Brady was "zinging it pretty good today," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says he was told this by a source, who also said Brady's thumb was "gushing blood" when the injury occurred during Wednesday's practice. Brady can throw the ball, and that's basically all we need to know for his status for the AFC Championship. He'll be out there looking for his eighth trip to the Super Bowl, and it sounds like he might be close to his usual self despite just getting stitches on Wednesday.
Tom Brady (hand) is officially listed as questionable for the AFC Championship Game.
Brady was listed as limited in practice, though he wouldn't say if he threw the ball or not after sustaining the injury on Wednesday, which is reportedly needed stitches around his knuckle for. Perhaps it’s looking into things too much, but Brady did wear football gloves to his press conference today—maybe to hide the stitching on his throwing hand. Brady was also coy about his status for about his game status for Sunday, saying “we’ll see” when asked if he’ll play against the Jaguars. It would be a major shock if the G.O.A.T. sat out with another trip to the Super Bowl on the line, but his hand is certainly something to keep an eye on if he is indeed active for the game. Brady might go with a glove on his throwing hand, which he says he hasn’t done in “a while.” Keep in mind this also could be a tactic to psych out the fired-up Jaguars a bit, as they might think Brady is not 100% and could subconsciously be let down if they see him out there as his usual near-unstoppable self.
Tom Brady (hand) did not practice today.
Brady injured his throwing hand in yesterday's practice, and the injury forced him to miss Thursday's practice. We'll see what kind of work he gets in tomorrow, but it would be a complete shock if Brady wasn't out there on Sunday against Jacksonville in the AFC Championship. New England needs their leader to beat one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Tom Brady (right hand) was limited in practice.
There is a 0% chance of Brady missing Sunday's AFC Championship versus Jacksonville, but this injury is still something to keep an eye on considering it's his right throwing hand. Brady wasn't available to talk to the media today—which is what people are making the biggest deal about—because he was with team doctors. The G.O.A.T. should be his usual self on Sunday, and we'll update you with his practice status tomorrow.
Tom Brady, Patriots cruise to seventh-straight AFC Championship Game appearance with 35-14 win over Tennessee.
Brady was 35/53 for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Unsurprisingly, the five-time Super Bowl champion was excellent in his first playoff game of the season, and he made plays both in and out of the structure of the play. Two of the scores came in the second quarter to James White from five yards away and then to Chris Hogan from four yards away, and then he hit Rob Gronkowski for a four-yard score in the final quarter. Brady will look for his eighth Super Bowl appearance against either the Steelers or Jaguars next Sunday. It will take a lot to knock off New England.
Tom Brady throws two touchdowns in Week 17.
Brady basically played the entire game for the Patriots, as they looked to lock up the top seed in the AFC. The veteran quarterback was 18/37 for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the win against the Jets, though it could've been a bigger game if not for some drops by his receivers. Brady's regular season ends with a league-leading 4,577 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, eight interceptions, and a 66.3% completion percentage. Despite some late statistical struggles, which was probably disappointing to some in the fantasy playoffs, Brady had yet another MVP-caliber season and might be the favorite for the award. Now, he'll look to embark on the journey for his sixth Super Bowl ring.
Tom Brady, Patriots pull away late in Week 16 win over the Bills.
Brady was 21/28 for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed twice for six yards. The interception could have been more on Kenny Britt than Brady, as the veteran cut his route short in coverage, which allowed Jordan Poyer to jump it for a pick-six. Brady quickly bounced back with a touchdown throw Rob Gronkowski before hitting Dion Lewis for his other score. Barring a Pittsburgh loss on Christmas, the Patriots need to win in Week 17 to lock up home-field advantage, so TB12 can stay in lineups as the top quarterback play.
Tom Brady orchestrates 51st career game-winning drive in 27-24 win over the Steelers.
Brady was 22/35 for 298 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Pittsburgh played more man-t0-man and caused problems for New England's receivers, but Rob Gronkowski exploded in the second half and on the final drive to put the Patriots ahead. As long as they don't slip up against the Bills or Jets over the final two weeks, the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC will go through Foxborough. Back at home, Brady will be the top quarterback option for Week 16 and Week 17.
Patriots struggle offensively in Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.
While the Dolphins typically play the Patriots tough, especially in Miami, this was a surprising game for the Patriots, who didn't convert on a third down for the first time since 1991. Tom Brady was 24/43 for 233 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the loss, as both interceptions were by cornerback Xavier Howard, who did an excellent job on Brandin Cooks all night. Miami also sacked Brady twice and put him under constant pressure throughout the game. Next week, Brady will get Rob Gronkowski (suspension) back in the lineup, and he'll be facing a Steelers team that he's historically torched. Expect a major bounce back for the second week of the fantasy playoffs after tonight's subpar performance.
Tom Brady held in check, but Patriots defeat Bills 23-3 in Week 13.
Brady was 21/30 for 258 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Despite the modest numbers, Brady is still on pace for 4,843 yards, 35 touchdowns, and five interceptions heading into the fantasy playoffs. He should be the top option every week, including on Monday night against the Dolphins. The only concern fantasy owners should have is a potential rest in Week 17 if New England locks up the top seed in the AFC by then.
Tom Brady, Patriots improve to 9-2 with 35-17 win over the Dolphins.
Brady was 18/28 for 227 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. He also lost a fumble on an aborted snap that was returned for score, but overall, it was more domination by New England. All four of the touchdowns for Brady came in the red zone, with two of them to Rob Gronkowski, one to Rex Burkhead, and one to Brandin Cooks. Still at the top of his game, TB12 is the clear number-one option at the position for Week 13 when the Patriots head to Buffalo.
Tom Brady is off the injury report for Week 12.
Brady has an Achilles issue that caused him to be limited in practice again today, but he'll be out there on Sunday against the Dolphins. You shouldn't be very concerned about Brady's status, and he should have another excellent game. Brady is the top quarterback play of the week.
Tom Brady (Achilles) was limited in today's practice.
After being a non-participant yesterday, it's good to Brady was at least out there today. There isn't concern about his status this week, but we'll update you when the official injury report for the game is released tomorrow.
Tom Brady (Achilles) did not practice today.
This isn't believed to be a serious injury, but it is still a slight concern. But Brady takes care of his body probably more than any athlete in the history of sports, so we'd expect him to be 100% when he takes the field on Sunday versus Miami.
Tom Brady, Patriots dominate the Raiders in Mexico City.
Brady was 30/37 for 339 yards, three touchdown, and no interceptions. Oakland stood no chance, as Brady dissected the defense, first connecting with Dion Lewis on a 15-yard touchdown in the first quarter to get things going. Then, in the second quarter, he hit Danny Amendola from five yards away in the back of the end zone before finishing things off with a 64-yard strike to a streaking Brandin Cooks in the third quarter. TB12 is the clear top option in Week 12 against Miami.
Tom Brady throws three touchdowns in blowout win at Denver.
The Patriots dominated against a team that’s given them more trouble on the road than perhaps anyone, scoring in every quarter in a 41-16 Week 10 victory. Brady was 25/34 for 266 yards and three touchdowns, as he looked as good as usual while throwing darts all over the field. The offensive line did an excellent job in the game, as Brady was sacked only one time and was given time in the pocket to move and find open receivers. The first touchdown was on an in-breaking route to Rex Burkhead for 14 yards, the second was on an 11-yard pinpoint pass to Dwayne Allen in the end zone, and the third was to James White on a third-and-goal late in the game. New England never took their foot off the gas, and it’s not about putting up stats but fantasy players will take it. Brady will be the top quarterback option in Mexico against the Raiders next Sunday.
Tom Brady goes over 300 yards as Patriots improve to 6-2.
Brady had another great game, picking apart the Chargers—including with 14 receptions going to his running backs underneath—and going 32/47 for 333 yards and a touchdown. New England did have to settle for six field goal attempts in the game, so it could've been a much bigger afternoon if the team was able to capitalize on their drives with touchdowns. The score was to non other than Rob Gronkowski by the goal line off a play-action fake. The most impressive part of the afternoon might have been an incompletion, as the 40-year-old Brady amazingly launched a pass 70 yards in the air on a deep end zone shot to Chris Hogan from about the Patriots' own 30-yard line. Through eight games, the GOAT is on pace for 5,082 yards, 32 touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 66.7% of his passes.
Tom Brady throws two touchdowns against Atlanta in boring Super Bowl LI rematch.
Brady was 21/29 for 249 yards, two touchdowns, and zero turnovers in a 23-7 win. The first score was a jet sweep touch pass to Brandin Cooks and the second was a red zone score to James White. Unfortunately, the Falcons didn't hold up their end of the bargain for a potential shootout, as their offensive struggles allowed New England to play conservatively and kill the clock. Brady has a better chance of getting in a shootout against Philip Rivers next Sunday. He's the top quarterback option.
Tom Brady throws two scores as the Patriots beat the Jets.
New England, who fell behind 14-0 to the Jets, is back atop the AFC East after the win. Brady was 20/38 for 257 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the game. Both touchdowns were to All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski, with one coming on a pass to the flat at the goal line and the other coming on a 30-yard laser right into Gronk's arms over the middle as he ran through the defense to the end zone. The interception came on a deep ball to Phillip Dorsett, who might've been interfered with but two defenders were in the area. It was great to see Brady, who as usual did a good job of navigating the pocket, didn't take any sacks while dealing with the sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. With a Super Bowl rematch against the Falcons in Foxborough next Sunday night, Brady will again be the top quarterback option in a potential shootout.
Tom Brady (shoulder) did not practice today.
Brady is reportedly dealing with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, but the man himself said he's ready to go for Sunday and will be out there. Of course, practice time always helps and Brady would love to be out there with his team, but at least we know for sure he will play against the Jets. Though the injury could affect him some, don't leave Brady out of your fantasy lineup because of this. He's still the QB1 this week.
Tom Brady has a left shoulder injury, according to Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says Brady is believed to have an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, which of course is his non-throwing shoulder. Brady, as he has most of the season, took a lot of hits on Thursday night against Tampa Bay, and he did land on his left side at least once in the game. Despite his pro-actviness with the TB12 Method to avoid a lot of injuries, there's not much you can on certain hits. Brady is expected to be ready for Sunday against the Jets, but he might be limited in practice all week. He'll still be an elite QB1.
Tom Brady goes for over 300 yards as the Patriots defeat the Bucs.
Brady was 30/40 for 303 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and one fumble lost in the Thursday night victory. The touchdown came on a five-yarder on a curl route to Chris Hogan—who he connected with eight times in the game. And the interception came on the first drive for New England, where Brady appeared to have the ball slip out of his hands on a throw to an open Chris Hogan over the middle. Though he didn't put up huge touchdown numbers or a superb fantasy scoring total against Tampa Bay, Brady looked a lot better than the stats indicated and he took a lot of hits in the game (including three sacks). Brady will be the top quarterback option in Week 6 against the Jets, and he should get All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski back.
Tom Brady plays great again, but the Patriots fall to 2-2.
Brady was 32/45 for 307 yards against the Panthers, scoring 14 fourth-quarter points to lead the team back and tie the game before Graham Gano kicked a game-winning field goal for the Panthers as time expired. As usual, Brady did a good job navigating the pocket, as he avoided pressure from Carolina and delivered strikes to his receivers. The touchdowns were two excellent passes to the back of the end zone to Chris Hogan and Danny Amendola. Look for Brady to have another great performance on Thursday night against Tampa Bay as he tries to help his team avoid falling to below .500.
The G.O.A.T. delivers again in Week 3 victory for the Patriots.
New England was in a battle with the Texans, but Tom Brady delivered yet another fourth-quarter comeback with just over two minutes to go in the game. As usual, he stood in the pocket with poise and delivered strikes to his receivers to lead them down the field, even after they fell behind the sticks after a penalty early in the drive. The game-winning touchdown was a pinpoint pass to the front pylon to Brandin Cooks, capping off a predictable game-winning drive from perhaps the most clutch player in the history of sports. Overall, Brady was 25/35 for 378 yards and five touchdowns, with a lost fumble on one of the five sacks by the Texans. Over his last two games, the 40-year-old quarterback has thrown for 825 yards, eight touchdowns, and no interceptions. He'll be the top option against the Panthers in Week 4.
Tom Brady torches Saints in 36-20 victory.
Brady was 30/39 for 447 yards and three touchdowns, picking apart New Orleans with a variety of different targets. All three scores came in the first quarter, as he found Rex Burkhead for a 19-yard score to start things off, then let Gronk catch-and-run for a 53-yard touchdown, before finishing things off with a 13-yarder to Chris Hogan. Had the Saints been able to keep up, it would have been an even better performance from Brady and the Pats. Still, fantasy owners can't complain, as Brady showed he's still the best. He should make easy work of a banged-up Houston secondary in Week 3.
Tom Brady says 2017 will not be his last season.
Brady spoke to Norah O'Donnell for CBS Sunday Morning, and he said," No. no," when asked if there is "any chance" this is his last season. Obviously, Brady has said he thinks—and wants—to play until he's in his mid-40s, but there's been slight speculation from people thinking the quarterback might just retire if he wins another Super Bowl this season (partly because of the presence of Jimmy Garoppolo, who's contract expires after the season). If there was any doubt about Brady playing past 2017, there shouldn't be. Because of his TB12 method, we believe Brady will play as long as he wants and stay atop the game for as long as he continues playing. He's the top quarterback option this week against New Orleans and will be for many weeks, and probably years.
Tom Brady and the Patriots get upset by the Chiefs in the opening game of the 2017 NFL season.
New England came into the game as the heavy favorites, and the game looked like it might be a blowout after the opening drive when the Pats went right down the field for a touchdown. Brady operated a no-huddle offense early in the game and the Patriots had a lot of success moving the ball, but they didn't seem to go as fast after the beginning of the game. Brady was 16/36 for 267 yards and was at a disadvantage when Danny Amendola left the game in the third quarter with a head injury, but this was a surprising stat line—even against Kansas City's defense. The Patriots will get back on track and Brady should dominate in a good matchup and potential shootout in Week 2 against the Saints.
Brady and Pats carve up the Lions in Week 3 of the preseason.
The Patriots opened the game looking about as good as you can expect, going right down the field for a touchdown before opening up a 24-0 lead. Brady was 12/15 for 174 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The interception came on the final play for Brady, who exited late in the second quarter, and played about as well as you can expect before that. The bad news is receiver Julian Edelman suffered a knee injury and it's unclear what the severity of the injury is. Hopefully Edelman ends up being OK, but either way Brady will be an excellent QB1 in 2017.
Tom Brady leads touchdown drive in 2017 preseason debut.
After sitting out Week 1 of the preseason, Brady and the Pats starters played in the second preseason game against the Texans. Brady looked as you'd expect, throwing pinpoint passes while going 6/9 for 67 yards and a touchdown. Brady's touchdown came on a pass over the middle to Rex Burkhead, who zoomed straight up the field to the end zone from 22 yards. The 40-year-old quarterback is still as good as ever and will obviously be an elite QB1 again this season.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Tom Brady told him he wants to play six or seven more seasons.
This should not surprise anyone if you have been paying attention. Brady is probably more committed than any other athlete today—his TB12 methods are the standard and he follows it religiously. The evidence is right in front of us that he can continue playing, as he was the best player in the NFL last season and his commitment can keep him at the top of the game. Already the best ever with five Super Bowl rings, Brady might not be close to done, especially with Brandin Cooks now in New England.
Unbelievable: Tom Brady, Patriots comeback from 25-point deficit against Falcons; win fifth Super Bowl.
Wow. This is not the team you count out, and they showed it after they came back from down 28-3 to the Falcons and won a thrilling overtime game (the first in Super Bowl history). Brady was 43/62 for 466 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also added a key 15-yard carry for a first down. Like always, The Comeback Kid was lights out with the game on the line, throwing pinpoint passes all over the field and leading the Patriots on a 91-yard drive and a two-point conversion to tie the game at 28. Then when the Patriots won the toss in overtime, Brady calmly led his team down the field for a game-winning touchdown to clinch the franchise's fifth Super Bowl. Brady won Super Bowl MVP for the fourth time. Heading into his age 40 season, we really expect Brady to play another 5+ seasons—he's not done and it's unlikely this is the last time we see him in the Super Bowl.
Tom Brady plays great; advances to seventh Super Bowl.
Brady was 32/42 for 384 yards and three touchdowns. Brady was deadly accurate all over the field, including some deep balls. In two weeks, Brady will become the first player in NFL history to play in seven Super Bowls, and will have a chance to win his fifth. If you are a football fan, you should be very happy to watch the greatest player of all time play in the big game once again. We expect him to play until he's at least 45, but you never know what will happen. Enjoy watching Brady in case this is his last time in the Super Bowl.
Patriots beat Texans; Brady and Belichick advance to 11th AFC Championship.
Tom Brady was 18/38 for 287 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. The touchdowns came on a swing pass to Dion Lewis and a 19-yard dime in the endzone to James White. His first interception seemed to be some mistiming between Brady and new-acquisition Michael Floyd, who stretch out and had it deflect off his hands. The second interception came on a play where Brady likely just didn't see the linebacker underneath and it was tipped and deflected back to the safety for an interception. After throwing just two interceptions in 12 games during the regular season, perhaps Brady got them out of the way before the AFC Championship next Sunday, when Brady plays in his astonishing 11th conference championship game.
Tom Brady was 25/33 for 276 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots' 35-14 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
New England captured the #1 seed with the win, and finished the regular season with a 14-2 record. TB12 might have done enough to win MVP in his 12 starts, as he completed 67.4% of his passes for 3,554 yards, 28 touchdowns, and two interceptions after missing the first four games of the season with an unwarranted suspension. The 28:2 touchdown-interception ratio is the best in NFL history. Brady and the Patriots will rest up this week before they begin their playoff quest to win their fifth Super Bowl.
Tom Brady was 17/27 for 214 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 41-3 victory over the Jets.
Brady was surgical as usual, and wasn't even needed in the fourth quarter after being up 34-0 through three. Fantasy owners should keep TB12 in their lineups as the no-doubt #1 option next week against Miami. New England will probably keep their foot on the gas before their first-round bye in the playoffs.
Brady, Pats rely on running game to takedown Broncos in Denver.
TB12 was 16/32 for 188 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero turnovers in the 16-3 victory. He also fumbled twice, but both were recovered by New England. As expected, the Patriots attacked Denver's defense with Dion Lewis, but it was actually as a runner, with Lewis seeing 18 carries on Sunday. The greatest quarterback of all time will be the #1 option for Christmas Eve against the Jets.
Brady, Pats get big win over the Ravens on Monday Night Football.
Brady was 25/38 for 406 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. It was Brady's ninth career 400 yard game. He looked as good as ever (minus the interception) against the number one defense in the NFL. Like usual, Brady threw with pinpoint accuracy and got his team into the right plays. His first touchdown was a bullet on a slant route to rookie Malcolm Mitchell. Then he threw an over-the-shoulder dime to Martellus Bennett for his second score. On his final touchdown, Chris Hogan got behind the Ravens defense and Brady easily hit him in stride for a 79 yard touchdown. Despite a matchup with Denver's first-ranked defense against fantasy quarterbacks, Brady is an elite option next week and has to be in your lineup.
GOAT: Brady gets career win #201, most in league history.
In a 26-10 victory over Los Angeles to move ahead of Peyton Manning for sole-possession of first place on the all-time wins list, Brady was 33/46 for 269 yards and one touchdown. It wasn't a great day for Brady, but he didn't need it, and was without Rob Gronkowski and dealing with a hobbled Martellus Bennett. TB12 completed eight passes to both Julian Edelman and Malcolm Mitchell, and threw his touchdown on a beautiful back-shoulder pass to Chris Hogan. Losing an all-time great in Gronk definitely hurts Brady, but he remains in consideration as the #1 fantasy quarterback every week. He gets Baltimore on Monday night in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
Tom Brady (knee) is questionable for Week 13.
It would be shocking if he didn't play. Get him in your lineup as the potential top option this week.
Tom Brady (knee) is not at Patriots practice today.
It's not too concerning. He's likely just healing up, perhaps with some of his unique methods. Brady will be good to go this Sunday against the Rams.
Tom Brady gets 200th career win in 22-17 victory over Jets.
Brady was 30/50 for 286 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed three times for negative-four yards. Both of his touchdown passes were to rookie Malcolm Mitchell, including the game-winning pass from eight yards out late in the 4th quarter; it was Brady's 50th career game-winning drive in 200 wins. Crazy. TB12 had a solid game despite Gronk (back) leaving early and the Jets getting constant pressure. He's the top option again next week against the Rams.
Tom Brady (knee) is expected to play versus the Jets today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It was never in much doubt. The Pats will try to get to 9-2 on the season against the Jets and Brady will be under center. This is a good matchup against the Jets' pass defense. Make sure he's in your lineup.
Tom Brady throws for four touchdowns in first career game @ SF.
Brady was 24/40 for 280 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 12 yards rushing. It’s a great bounce back after a not-so-good stat line last week against the Seahawks. Brady will be an elite QB1 against the Jets next week, with or without Gronk.
Brady doesn't throw a touchdown in Week 10 loss to the Seahawks.
He was 23/32 for 316 yards and an interception. The INT appeared to slip out of his hands on a deep pass and was easily picked. LeGarrette Blount rushed for three touchdowns, including two at the goal-line, which didn't help Brady's stat line. It's hard to imagine Brady has another fantasy day like this. He should be the top QB this week against the 49ers.
