Samsung Officially Unveils The Galaxy Note10

The original Samsung Galaxy Note release back in October 2011, changing mobile devices forever with a massive design and an innovative S Pen. Back when the original Note released, some saw the “phablet” (tablet-like phone) as too big with a 5.3-inch screen; but today, all mobile companies including Samsung continue to make phones bigger to appease consumers. Today, Samsung launched the tenth edition of the impactful premium Galaxy Note line: the Galaxy Note10.

For the first time ever, the Note10 comes in two sizes: 6.3 inches (Note10) and 6.8 inches (Note10+). The screen again features a near bezel-less design, with a small camera cutout at the top of the display instead of a small notch as seen on other devices. The Note10 also features a rear triple camera, as seen on most premium devices today.

The press release for the Note10 reads, in part:

“From the very beginning, the Galaxy Note has stood for the best-of-the-best technologies and features. The Galaxy Note10 re-imagines this promise for the modern Note fan who uses their smartphone to take their productivity and creativity to the next level, and who effortlessly flows between ideas and endeavors at a moment’s notice,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. “Every element of the Galaxy Note10 was designed to help users achieve more. Whether they’re finishing a big project for work, capturing and editing a video, or playing their favorite mobile game, the Galaxy Note10 will help them do it faster and better.”

Samsung also says the Note10 “gives users the freedom to work the way they want and showcase their creative spirit, all on-the-go.”

One noticeable disappointing thing about the Note10 is the lack of the headphone jack, which was something many Samsung Galaxy fans were holding tightly to. (The recently-released Galaxy S10 does have a headphone jack.)

There is also a 5G version of the phone that will be available exclusively on Verizon initially. The Note10 will be available in three colors: Aura Glow (a holographic-like color), Aura White, and Aura Black.

The Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ will be available on August 23.

Not a good look for Samsung. Removed headphone jack and 1080p screen for the normal Note 10? Stupid.
